The FMCC men's soccer program hosted alumni weekend to celebrate the 50th year of FMCC soccer. A dinner was held to recognize and honor one of FMCC's greatest coaches in Andy DiNitto. Many players that were in attendance had an opportunity to speak about their experience and memories under the direction of Coach DiNitto.
From 1972-1984, Coach DiNitto turned FMCC into a national power. During his tenure the Raiders boasted a 155-41-9 record. The team was Regional Champions in 1977 and 1979 and was Regional runner up four times. Coach DiNitto led the Raiders to Mountain Valley Conference championships four times during his tenure.

In 1979, the Raiders were National Runner Up, in one of soccer's greatest games. FMCC fell 1-0 in a six overtime loss to Miami Dade CC. In 1981, DiNitto was named national coach of the year. He not only had great teams, he also made great men.
There were close to 50 alumni in attendance that were All-Americans, All-Region and professional players. The players competed in an alumni game and were honored at half time of the 2018 men's soccer teams 4-0 win over Jamestown.
Current FM Men's Soccer Coach Cory Leggiero was thrilled to see all the former players and support from the alumni. "We were thrilled to have so many former players come back to FMCC. It's fun to host an event like this and bring together everyone who has been a part of FM's soccer tradition over the years. The alumni worked hard during their time at FM to establish soccer roots and the foundation for our current program. I am impressed with the strong connection among all of our alumni. We hope everyone left with new and positive memories, and that each person felt reconnected with Fulton Montgomery Community College and our current soccer program," stated Leggiero.
