Raiders Compete at NJCAA National Championship

The men's and women's cross country teams finished their 2019 season at the NJCAA Division 3 Championship.  The event was held at Stanley Park in Westfield, Massachusetts on Saturday.  The men ran an 8K and the women competed in a 5K.

Two hundred runners competed in the men's race and FM's Sebastian Mills placed 2nd in the nation with a time of 26:33.70, just three seconds behind the first place winner Edwin Kipainoi from St. Charles (MO).  Jon Hendley finished 55th with a time of 29:23.82. Mineral Area (MO) won the Men's National Team Title.

Men Championship Central

On the women's side, 121 runners competed and Kira Williams finished 20th with a time of 21:30.63.  Maria Fernandez finished 81st at 25:27.64.  Suffolk County (NY) took home the Women's National Team Title.

Women's Championship Central

Sebastian Mills was named North East Region Cross Country Athlete of the Year.  The Raiders Cross Country Team finishes their season with personal bests from every runner and high hopes for the future under the direction of Head Coach Jim Bowles.
