JOHNSTOWN – Six FM student-athletes have received regional academic honors, and three of them have received national honors. The six Raiders have received the Region 3 Academic Award. This award is based on an athlete completing at least 45 credits with a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

The recipients are pictured, clockwise from upper left:  Amanda Bieniek (Softball), Vince Young (Men’s Basketball), Elizabeth Hayward (Volleyball), Rebekah Reichard (Softball), Nicholas Sitterly (Men’s Soccer), and Chance Steele (Men’s Soccer).

Further, three members of the group are being recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Bieniek and Reichard are being honored for Exemplary Academic Achievement (3.6-3.79 GPA, at least 45 credits completed, three full-time semesters). Hayward is receiving the honor of Superior Academic Achievement (3.8-3.99 GPA, at least 45 credits completed, three full-time semesters).

The entire Raider community salutes these outstanding student-athletes.
