Jordan Stewart – Men’s Basketball – Male Raider of the Month, February 2015

Jordan Stewart

The male Raider of the Month for February is Jordan Stewart. The 6’ 0” guard has delighted FM fans with his skill, speed, and quick thinking on the hardwood. Stewart has the ability to score anywhere - from out in NBA land all the way in to the rim itself.

Head Coach Ed Collar had high praise for Stewart, stating: “Jordan is a marksman from beyond the three-point line.  He also has unlimited range, as evidenced by some of the shots he made from near half court. Jordan led the team with 56 threes this year, as he averaged two per game.  His highlights included six threes in a win over Onondaga, five threes in a win over third-ranked Corning and five threes (all in the first half) in a one-point loss to (Region 3 Champion) Herkimer at home.

“Jordan was much more than just a three-point shooter, as he could score in a variety of ways (11 ppg) –  including with a drive, on the fast break, or with an offensive rebound (13 rebounds vs. Columbia Greene).

“Jordan will be moving on to a four-year school, where he hopes to continue playing basketball while pursuing a career in a sports related field.”
