Tyrone Davis – Men’s Basketball - Male Raider of the Month, November 2014

Tyrone Davis

Tyrone Davis is the starting point guard for the men's basketball team.  He can control play from the perimeter, and he can attack the basket with impressive speed and athleticism.

Head Coach Ed Collar gave a glowing description of Davis’ play in November, stating, “Tyrone has really improved his game in his second year as a Raider.  He pushes the fast break and controls our half-court offense, which has made the Raiders one of the highest scoring teams in the region.  He averages 11 points per game, while also leading the team in assists.  Tyrone has also been the team's most consistent player as well.  Through a recent five-game winning streak, Ty scored in double figures in every game.  He is one of the team's main go-to guys when they really need a basket.  He is almost impossible to defend, as he is great off the dribble, has a tremendous pull up jumper, and can finish at the rim with either hand, in a variety of acrobatic moves.  Tyrone is also a strong student, with a solid GPA.  He is a well-rounded person, who strives for success and truly epitomizes the Raider Way.”
