WHITEVILLE, NC – FM's Division III baseball team was defeated by the Division II Southeastern CC Rams 11-3 on Tuesday. It was a cool and threatening day. Rain forced cancellation of the second game of the scheduled doubleheader.

Freshman Sam Flood got the starting assignment for FMCC. Avery Ford and Michael Gravel also stepped onto the mound in relief roles.

The Raiders outhit the Rams 10-9. Gregory Mosetti banged out four hits in five at bats. Alex Vickery drove in a run with a single. Christopher Rockefeller added another hit to his early-season total. Rockefeller is now batting .481.

The Rams and Raiders will meet again on Wednesday afternoon. The scheduled doubleheader should be played in nearly 50-degree weather. The forecast for Whiteville calls for little chance of rain.

Head Coach Dave Hennessey plans to hand the ball to Chris Rockefeller for Game One. FM's starter for the second game has not been announced.
