D-II Cecil College Wins Two from Raiders

 

NORTH EAST, MD – The Raiders got their baseball season under way on Friday with a doubleheader in low-50s weather at Cecil College. FM is a Division III college and Cecil competes as a D-II college. Cecil won both ends of the doubleheader, 4-1 and 8-4.

FM Freshman Ray Osterhout stroked four hits in the twin bill. Chris Rockefeller had two hits, including a double. Jason Agresta and James Waters both had two singles. Kevin Chrisman doubled for the Raiders.

FM's Christian Maldonado got the start in Game One. Maldonado pitched four innings, allowing two hits and striking out four, while walking five. Baylee Hall relieved Maldonado. Hall tossed two innings. He gave up three hits and walked none.

Raider Jared Gregware stepped onto the mound for Game Two. Gregware went five innings. He allowed four hits and struck out one, but walked six. William Hewitt pitched the final inning. Hewitt surrendered just one hit and walked no one.

The Raiders will play another doubleheader with Cecil College on Sunday.
