Schenectady Batters Enjoy Saturday at FM

JOHNSTOWN – The Raiders have scored 39 runs in their last four games, but the batters from Schenectady CCC outdid them on Saturday afternoon. The visitors won both ends of a doubleheader by the identical scores of 15-5.

Game One

FM took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Ray Osterhout walked and scored on Andrew Houser's double. The visiting Royals answered with two runs in the second inning and built on that lead, scoring in each remaining inning.

Christian Maldonado was on the mound for FM until he injured his arm in the third inning. Maldonado has thrown many quality innings for the Raiders this season, and his injury could be a major blow to the team.

FM scored three runs in the third inning. Osterhout and DaShon Boyles singled. James Waters was hit by a pitch. Osterhout scored on an errant pickoff attempt. Zachary Hughes doubled, driving in Boyles and Waters.
