Raiders Go 1 and 3 Against Timberwolves

The Raiders Baseball squad went matched up against the Timberwolves of Adirondack in a weekend series.  The Raiders won the first game of the series, but the Timberwolves would win the next three games.

In game one at East Field in Glens Fall the Raiders won 14-11, and both teams combined for 29 hits including nine extra base hits.  Patrick Hart recorded the win for the Raiders, even though he allowed 10 runs over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out five, walked three and gave up 17 hits. Ryan McNamara went 3-5 with two doubles, a single and an RBI.  Hart was 2-4 with a double, a single and 2 RBI's. Ayden Healy was 2-2 with a triple, a single and an RBI.  

In game two the Raiders fell short losing 12-11 despite pounding out 10 hits.  Justin Putnam was charged with the loss for FM. He allowed 10 runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out two. McNamara went 2-3 with 4 RBI's and DaShon Boyles was 3-3 with an RBI of his own.  

The Timberwolves traveled to FMCC on Sunday for the final two games of the series.  In game one the Raiders lost 19-14, despite their hot bats.  

Hart did his best to jumpstart the offense for FM, reaching base four times. He scored four runs and had one RBI.  Jake Petralia was charged with the loss allowing 10 runs in five innings, waling one and striking out three. Ryan Cullam had a two run home run, Kyle Agresta had 3 RBI's and Lucas Calkins had two singles.  

In the final game of the series the Raiders bats went quiet, as they suffered a 15-0 loss.  Agresta took the loss for the Raiders.  McNamara had the lone hit for FM.  

FM's next contest will be Tuesday when they host Columbia-Greene.  Game times are set for 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
