Baseball Splits with Mohawk Valley

FM hosted the Hawks from Mohawk Valley in a Conference matchup The Raiders and Mohawk Valley CC exchanged the lead five times on Tuesday, but FM ended up on top with a 6-2 win in seven innings over Mohawk Valley CC.

The Raiders relied on Baylee Hall to eat up innings en route to the win. Hall allowed one earned run, six hits and three walks while striking out two over seven innings of work.

In the bottom of the first, the Raiders grabbed the early lead, 1-0. A single by Hall, bringing home Kyle Agresta started the inning off.

The Raiders finally managed to grab the lead after a strong third inning. A fielder's choice scored DaShon Boyles and gave the Raiders the lead for good. FM went up for the duration of the game after the third inning. Additional runs came from an RBI single by Ryan McNamara.

The MVCC Hawks managed jus two runs, one in the 2nd inning and one in the 3rd inning. 

FM increased their lead with three runs in the fifth. The inning got off to a hot start when Jake Petralia singled, plating Hart. That was followed up by Justin Putnam's single, scoring Petralia.

In game two Justin Putnam did his best to change the outcome, but Putnam couldn't lead the Raiders past the Hawks as FM lost 4-1 in seven innings. 

Putnam handled Mohawk Valley CC 's lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Putnam allowed two earned runs on seven hits and six walks over seven innings.

The top of the first saw MV take an early lead, 1-0. FM scored their only run on the day in the first inning on an RBI single by Baylee Hall. 

The lead stayed with Mohawk Valley CC after the fourth, when it scored one run on a sacrifice fly. After posting one run in the fifth, Mohawk Valley CC scored again in the sixth. The Hawks took game two 4-1.

The Raiders will travel to Mohawk Valley on Thursday for another double header against the Hawks.
