Raiders Baseball is Back

FMCC Raider Baseball is finally back in action after a two week hiatus.  The Raiders hosted the Schenectady Royals on Sunday afternoon and came out on top in both games.

Pat Hart got the start on the mound for FM in Game 1 and came out on top with a 10-8 victory.  He tossed 7 innings, giving up 12 hits, striking out 5 and walking none. The Raiders trailed 8-7 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Brogan Barker drilled a three run home run to deep center field to seal the win. 

The Raiders collected 12 hits and Ryan Cullam led the FM offense going 3-3 at the plate including two doubles and a triple, and drove in 4 runs.  Ryan McNamara and Jake Petralia also collected multiple hits for FM.

In Game 2, Justin Putnam allowed just one hit, struck out 9 and didn't allow a single run, as the Raiders defeated the Royals 14-0 in 5 innings. The Raiders offense scored 10 runs in the 1st inning and 4 in the 2nd inning to secure the victory. 

Kyle Sherlock and Jake Petralia each had two hits and Sherlock drove in 3 runs.  Cory Moore and Kyle Agresta also drove in 2 runs each. 

The Raiders will travel to Central Park tomorrow to take on the Royals again in another Double Header.  Games are set for 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
