Baseball Wins Final Game in Walkoff Fashion

The FM Raiders baseball team finished their season Thursday night at Shuttleworth Park against Jefferson CC.  The Raiders dropped Game one 7-5 and came out on top in walk off fashion in game two, winning 14-13.

In game one, FM led 5-3 heading into the 7th inning, but Jefferson battled to score 4 runs in the 7th for the victory.  Kyle Agresta took the loss; he pitched seven innings, allowing seven runs, and ten hits and struck out six.  FM had seven hits in the contest and Paul VanWarner led with three.  Ryan Cullam had two hits and an RBI.  Jake Petralia slammed a 2 run homerun over the left field fence.  Coby Caraballo followed with one hit and Agresta also collected an RBI for FM. 

In game two, Kyle Agresta's walkoff single in the 7th inning secured the 14-13 victory for FM.  The Raiders got behind 8-0 heading into the 4th inning, but they kept chipping away.  Their big inning came in the 6th inning when they crossed the plate seven times.  FM pounded out twelve hits in the night cap.  Kyle Agresta, Ryan Cullam, Richard Umholtz, Jake Petralia, Brogan Barker, and Paul Vanwarner all had two hits to lead FM.  Agresta and Umholtz led with 4 RBIs each in the game.
