Raiders Come Up Short Against Erie

The men's baseball team came up short in the Region 3 sub-regional double header on Saturday.  The Raiders fell to the Erie Kats in game one, 11-1 and fell in game two 5-4.

In game one, the Kats scored 9 runs in the first two innings and FM couldn't recover.  Erie pounded out 11 hits in the contest.  Dan Parslow and Cory Moore each had singles for the Raiders in the loss.

In game two, FM bounced back and pitcher Richard Umholtz was strong on the mound.  He pitched eight innings, allowed six hits and struck out ten. 

FM led 4-2 heading into the bottom of the 6th, but Erie scored 3 runs in the bottom half of the inning to secure the victory.

The Raiders finished with five hits in the contest.  Brogan Barker led at the plate going 2-4, including a double and RBI.  Kyle Sherlock, Coby Caraballo, and Benjamin McHarg each had singles.

FM finishes their 2018 season with an overall record of 15-13.  Best of luck to sophomores; Cory Moore, Richard Umholtz, Kyle Sherlock, Andrew Marciniak, Coby Caraballo, and Brogan Barker
