With spring break in sight and opening day of their 2019 season nearing, the FMCC Baseball squad is eager to get to work.

The Raiders are coming off a 2018 season where they finished with a 15-13 overall record and a 14-6 conference record.  The Raiders earned a spot in the Region 3 post-season tournament, where they fell to Erie Community College.

FM will look to make it back to the Region 3 Tournament with a good mix of returning sophomores and freshman.

Veterans on the roster include Benjamin McHarg who led the offense last season with a .316 average.   Dan Parslow finished with a .239 batting average and was 3-1 on the mound with a 6.45 ERA.  Joshua McCaffrey will see a lot of time behind the plate again and looks to top his .268 batting average from last season.

Noah Wygel, Michael Brown, Michael Reith and Mike Smith round out the core of returning players and look to be at the forefront of this year's lineup.

The Raiders bring on seven new freshmen who will fill a lot of time in the lineup.  Amsterdam standout Brendan McGillin will give the Raiders depth in the infield and on the mound.  Alex VanDeusen (Johnstown) and Derek Lee (Johnstown) round out the local talent on the roster.

Blake Carey, William Newcomb, Julio Jimenez and Victor Bare will look to make an impact in the lineup as freshman.

The Raiders will start their spring training road trip this coming weekend when they travel to Myrtle Beach.

FM's northern schedule is set to begin on March 30th, weather permitting, at home, with games against Cayuga CC.
