Baseball Falls to Schenectady Royals

The men's baseball team dropped a pair of games to the Schenectady Royals on Tuesday.  FM fell on the road 5-4 and 10-8.

In game one, Michael Brown took the loss on the hill for FM.  He allowed four runs on six hits across four innings.  Alex VanDeusen relieved Brown over two innings allowing one run on four hits.

The Raiders tied the game in the 6th inning, but the Royals scored in the bottom of the 7th for the walk off victory. 

Dan Parslow, William Newcomb, Derek Lee, Alex VanDeusen and Julio Jimenez each had one hit.

In the second game, FM jumped out to a 5-1 lead.  Schenectady used a six run third inning to spark the 10-8 victory. 

Newcomb started the game for the Raiders on the mound and Michael Reith and VanDeusen both pitched in relief. 

The Raiders racked up 14 hits in the loss.  Derek Lee went 3-for-4, VanDeusen, Joshua McCaffrey, Newcomb, Jimenez, and Noah Wygel each collected two hits.

FM will travel to Cayuga on Saturday for a Region 3 double header beginning at Noon.
