FM Men Roll Over Schenectady

JOHNSTOWN – The Raiders took care of business in front of a good crowd on Wednesday evening. FM opened the game with an overwhelming offensive barrage. After merely 10 minutes of play, the home team owned a 37-21 lead. By halftime, FM's 59-28 lead was unsurmountable.

Jordan Stewart and Tyrone Davis got the assault started. Stewart sank two threes and Tyrone Davis added one. The Raiders led 9-7 and then started scoring profusely. FM's awesome lead of 37-21 after just 10 minutes meant that the Blue & White were scoring at a 148-point pace.

Head Coach Ed Collar substituted liberally. He sent 15 Raiders into the game, and 13 of them scored.

The win raised FM's record to 13-7 overall and 7-4 in conference play. FM has now won six consecutive games. They will strive to extend that streak on Saturday, in Delhi. The Broncos (13-9, 9-3) defeated FM at FM 65-73 in December, but the Raiders are now ranked fifth in the weekly Region 3 coaches' poll while the Broncos are unranked.

Further, FM is currently fourth in the Mountain Valley Conference standings with a conference record of 7-4. Delhi is in third place, at 8-3. A win by FM on Saturday would put the Raiders and the Broncos in a tie for third place.

The Raiders' next home game is set for next Wednesday, Feb. 4, versus the Herkimer Generals, with an early start time of 3:00 p.m.
