Raiders Suffer Tough Loss to Schenectady

The FM Raiders suffered a tough loss in a Conference Matchup with the Schenectady Royals in the Raiders Den.  Schenectady won the game by a score of 64-60

FM's Barceem Dukes got things started for FM in the first half to put his team up 4-2. Eric Edwards sank a three pointer to go up 7-4 and that the was the last time FM would score for several minutes. Schenectady went on a 14-0 run to push the their lead to 18-7.  Dukes ended the run with a layup and Ricky Mitchell drained a three of his own to cut the lead to 9. Tremaine Elder and Shaliem Caldwell ended the quarter on baskets of their own and the half ended with FM trailing 25-21. 

In the second half FM quickly regained the lead 28-27 after and Ayodele layup, and Austin Riska three and two made foul shots by Barceem Dukes.  FM was able to push the lead to seven with a three pointer my Dylan O'Connor from the corner.  Schenectady battled all half and tied the game up at 52 and went on to dominate the final minutes of the game.  Andre Taylor was able to sink two free throws to put his team down by just one point with 8 seconds remaining.  FM was able to put the Royals at the line where they only made one foul shot.  Ayodele charged the ball down court to attempt to tie the game, but he was called for a traveling violation.  Schenectady was able to seal the game with a couple free throws and go on to win 64-60.

The FM Men are now off until December 9th when they host North Country at 7:00 p.m.
