Twins Snap Raiders Win Streak

The men's basketball team's seven game win streak was snapped Wednesday evening against Columbia-Greene.  The Twins used a strong second half to propel past FM for a 92-86 victory. 

FM fell behind early as the Twins got hot from behind the arc and led 16-8.  Kobe Vaughan sparked an FM run and Dante Morgan tied the game at 29 with 8 minutes remaining in the half.  Jaleel Jean Jacques put FM in the lead 35-34 and Chris Toussaint pulled the Raiders ahead, 43-38.  The Raiders closed out the half leading by just one point, 46-45.

FM came out strong in the second half and led 62-51.  The Twins would not go away, as they cut the deficit 71-69 with seven minutes remaining.  Columbia Greene took the lead 81-78 with 2:30 left and never trailed again.  FM was unable to recover and fell 86-92.

Chris Toussaint led the Raiders with 18 points and Tyvon Stenson finished with 15.  Amadou Diakite and Brandon Cooper had 12 and 11 respectively.

FM's next contest will be at home on Saturday when they matchup against Corning CC at 3:00 p.m.
