Vaughan Secures Men's Basketball Victory Over Cayuga

Kobe Vaughan converted on a put back layup with .2 seconds to go in regulation, to secure an 89-87 victory over the Cayuga Spartans. 

FM dominated the offense in the first half and led 51-34 at halftime.  Cayuga cut the lead to 57-42, but Tyvon Stenson scored 6 straight points to extend the FM lead to 22 points. The Spartans then went on a 14-0 run and were right back in the contest 64-57 with 10 minutes remaining. 

In the final two minutes of the game, Cayuga's full court pressure caused several turnovers by the Raiders and the game was tied at 87 with 20 seconds remaining.  Kobe Vaughan's first last second shot attempt was blocked, but he converted on the put back to seal the win 89-87.

Dante Morgan led with 24 points and Tyvon Stenson followed with 16.

FM is currently 5th in the Region III standings and will play Clinton on the road on Monday, February 5th.
