The men's basketball team fell to Herkimer for the second time in four days Monday night in the Raiders Den. FM fell 72-64 and move to 11-7 on the season.
FM jumped out to a 10-6 lead to start the game. The Generals answered with a 14-3 run to take the lead 22-14 with 10 minutes remaining in the half. Dante Morgan sparked an 11-2 run and tied the score at 27. Jamal Vasquez had the hot shooting hand off the bench for FM as he extended the lead 33-28. Herkimer closed out the half on a run and the Raiders trailed 36-35 at the half.
Herkimer went on a 14-0 run midway through the second half and led 54-42. FM used a full court press to cut the deficit to six, but Herkimer hung on to win 72-64.
Dante Morgan led FM with 23 points and Jaleel Jean Jacques finished with 10.
FM's next contest will be Thursday, February 15th at North Country CC.
