Raiders Fall Short In Region 3 Championship

The Raiders prolific post-season run as the #8 seed came to a close on Sunday afternoon in the Region 3 Championship contest.  FM fell to the Herkimer Generals 74-64.

The Raiders gave the Generals a scare as they jumped out to a 27-13 lead with 10 minutes remaining in the first half.  Herkimer would not go away as they clawed their way back into the contest to end the half trailing FM, 35-31.

Herkimer continued their comeback in the 2nd half when they took the lead 43-42 with 13 minutes left.  The Raiders kept in close and trailed 62-56 with 3 minutes left, but they ran out of time as the Generals sealed the victory. 

Darren Demmitt led the way again for FM with 16 points and Chris Toussaint followed with 14.  Jaleel Jean Jacques was also in double figures with 11. 

Demmitt and Toussaint were both named to the Region 3 All Tournament Team.

FM ends their 2017-2018 season with a 15-11 record and finish as Region 3 Runner-Up.
