The men's basketball team opened up their season at home with back to back wins this weekend. FM defeated Adirondack 107-71 and Jefferson 83-77.
In the win against Adirondack, the Raiders had a balanced scoring attack that saw six different players in double figures. Juwan Malone led with 18 points and Darren Demmitt followed with 15. Jaleel Jean Jacques, Doal Dhieu, Jahmr Jordan and Amadou Diakite each scored in double figures.
Against Jefferson, FM jumped out to a demanding lead in the first half as they led 44-33 at halftime. Jefferson outscored the Raiders in the second half, 44-39 but it wasn't enough as FM held on for the 83-77 victory.
Jaleel Jean Jacques led with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Darren Demmitt and Juwan Malone each followed with 14 each.
FM moves to 4-1 on the season and will travel to play Schenectady Community College on Tuesday, November 27th.
