After a month layoff, the men's basketball team continued their winning ways in 2019. The Raiders opened up the second half of their season with a 74-72 victory over Ulster Community College on Wednesday night.
FM jumped out to a fast 10-0 start, but the Senators settled in and made a run. The Raiders led 41-39 at the half. In the second half, Ulster took a 46-43 lead over FM. Jahmr Jordan tied the game at 54 with eight minutes remaining.
Ulster took its last lead of the game 65-63 with four minutes left. FM answered with an 8-0 run and led 71-65 with less than two minutes remaining to seal the victory.
Chris Toussaint led the Raiders with 15 points and Darren Demmitt and Juwan Malone each had 14.
The Raiders will start Region 3 play on Monday, January 21st, when they travel to Hudson Valley Community College. FM will take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m.
