Men's Basketball Secures Winning Weekend

The Men's Basketball team used a balanced offensive attack to secure two home victories over the weekend. FMCC hosted SUNY Adirondack on Saturday, and won 106-65. Against Jefferson, The Raiders clawed their way back for a 103-98 victory. 

Against Adirondack, FM used a balance attack with four different players in double figures. Korey Greenland had 23 points and 9 rebounds and Joseph Rowback with 23 points and 8 rebounds. De'Vante Mateo and Joey Ladipo each followed with 22 points. FMCC jumped out to a 60-35 lead in the first half, shooting 53% from the floor. In the second half, it was all Raiders to secure the 106-65 win.

Against Jefferson, both teams battled point for point for much of the first half. Heading into the locker room at half, FM trailed 54-50. In the second half, Rowback, Greenland and Mateo put the Raiders on a 9-0 run to take the lead for the remainder of the game. Mateo paced FM with 33 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals. Rowback had a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Korey Greenland tallied 24 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals and 4 assists. Off the bench, Kory Bergh contributed 12 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. 

The Raiders move to 3-1 on the season. They will next host Tompkins Cortland Community College on Thursday, November 18th. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m. in the Raiders Den.
