The Men's Hoops team hosted the Generals from Herkimer College on Wednesday night. The #4 Nationally Ranked Generals invaded the Raiders Den, but FMCC was up for the challenge.
The Raiders hung tight with the Generals in the first half and never let it get out of reach. Joey Ladipo had the hot hand in the first half and they trailed 38-29 in a tight contest heading into halftime.
In the second half, De'Vante Mateo picked it up offensively for FMCC. The Raiders had a chance to get it to a one possestion game, but Herkimer converted on an offensive rebound. FM outscored the Generals, 48-46, but came up just short. The Generals came out with an 84-77 victory.
Mateo led with 28 points and Joey Ladipo tallied 18. Korey Greenland and Joseph Rowback scored 13 and 12 respectively.
The Men move to 6-6 on the season and will hit the hardwood on Saturday, February 5th at Mohawk Valley Community College. The game is set for 3:00 p.m. in Utica.
