Raiders Victorious in Home Opener

The men's basketball team moved to a 2-0 record on Saturday. The Raiders defeated conference opponent, Clinton, 90-80.

FMCC jumped out to an 18-point lead, but the Cougars chipped away. The Raiders led 51-41 at halftime, led by 14 points from Kennyh Hardeman.

In the second half, both teams struggled to get defensive stops, but traded basket for basket. Each team scored 39 points in the second half and the Raiders came out on top, 90-80.

FM saw four players in double figures. Hardeman led with 25 points, 11 rebounds and five steals. Jelani Moreno finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds, Nahjhime Kirton had 13 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Matthew Boyle rounded out the double figure scoring with 13 points.

The Raiders will next host Herkimer College on November 17th at 7:00 p.m.
