The Men's Basketball team closed out the 2022 half of their season on a high note. They defeated SUNY Adirondack on December 14th to move to 4-3 on the season. The Raiders had five different players in double-figures to route the 97-71 victory.

FMCC jumped out to a 48-35 half-time lead and built on that in the second half. De'Vante Mateo and Nahjhime Kirton led with 23 points each. Kennyh Hardeman totaled 19 points. Jelani Moreno tallied 12 and Jevonny Brown with 11 points.

"I thought the guys came back the way a good team needs to respond. We lost a tough game in overtime to Onondaga and instead of letting it carry over to the next game they came right back and took care of business in our final game of the first semester before our break," said Head Coach Gallup.

The Raiders finish the first half of the season in 6th place in the Region 3 standings. They are eager to get back out on the court in 2023 with their first game on Tuesday, January 10th at Cayuga.

"I believe the sky is the limit for our team going into the second semester. We have played a pretty tough schedule for the first seven games that we have played. We know where we are at and where we want to get. We would also like to send our best wishes to our friend Alex Isabel as he is fighting some health issues. We hope to see Alex back on the sidelines very soon, said Gallup.
