Men's Basketball Improves Record to 13-3

The Men's Basketball team picked up its 10th straight win on Wednesday night against North Country Community College, 94-76. Head Coach Ej Gallup has guided his team to a 13-3 overall record and an 8-2 conference record this season.

Against North Country, The Raiders were firing on all cylinders. FM led 47-38 at the half behind 12 points from Jelani Moreno.

In the second half, FMCC got a spark from Jevonny Brown who finished the game with 22 points and was 5-5 from three. He sank a three with 12 minutes remaining to go up by 15 points.

Kennyh Hardeman and Nahjhime Kirton were relentless on the boards for the Raiders. They combined for 30 rebounds and secured the 94-76 win.

Kirton finished the game with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Moreno tallied 17 points, De'Vante Mateo with 14 points and Hardeman with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

The men are currently in 3rd place in the Region III standings with two weeks left to play. The Raiders are also tied for 1st place in the Conference with Mohawk Valley.

They head into a big Region 3 match-up on Saturday, February 4th at Genesee Community College. The Cougars are 15-2 and currently #1 in the Region III standings. Tip is set for 11:30 a.m.

The Raiders will host Corning on Sunday, February 5th at 12:00 p.m. in The Raiders Den.
