Men's Basketball Wins Three In A Row

The men's basketball team had a grueling week as they hosted three games in three days. That schedule did not phase the Raiders as they reeled of three straight wins. The men have improved to a 15-3 overall record and a 13-2 Region 3 Record.

On Tuesday, they hosted Clinton Community College and came out on top, 91-67.  Nahjhime Kirton had a big game with 24 points and 17 rebounds. Jordan Jackson followed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

In the second contest of the week, FM hosted The North Country Saints. The Raiders won in convincing fashion, 88-66. Kennyh Hardeman was 13 of 14 from the floor and led with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Kirton was right behind him with 21 points and 9 rebounds.

And on Thursday, FMCC hosted Finger Lakes Community College for their third game in a row. The Raiders got off to another quick start, but The Lakers were able to cut the FM lead to 12. All five starters scored in double-figures to spark a strong second half and pick up the 95-78 victory. Nahjhime Kirton led with 22 points and 12 rebounds, Jordan Jackson with 18 points and 5 assists and Kennyh Hardeman with 14 points and 15 rebounds

The Raiders will be back in action at home on Saturday against Genesee in a crucial Region 3 match-up. Genesee currently sits in 2nd place in the Region with a 15-1 regional record and the Raiders are right behind them with the 3rd place spot with a 13-2 regional record. The game is set for a 3pm tip-off in the Raiders Den on Saturday, February 3rd.
