The FM Bowling team posted it's best scores of the year on Friday at their Conference match at Kingpin Lanes in Rome. At the start of the day, the Raiders trailed MVCC by two points for the Conference lead. FM grabbed all 8 available points on Friday. MV garnered 6 points which left the two teams tied for first place with 14 points each. Eight points will be available again at the final Conference match to be held February 8, in East Greenbush.

Team Captain, Evan Sawitzki paced the Raiders in both 3 game sets with a 651 and 642 totals. Freshman, Andrew Bauer, wasn't far behind with totals of 658 and 590. Close behind was another Gloversville bowler, Justin Hulbert, who tallied scores of 589 and 583. Korey Davis of Fonda-Fultonville had totals of 548 and 460. Kadence Kennedy, the lone female on the mixed team, posted her high score of the year with a 153.

"It sure makes a difference when we can have all six bowlers participating. The format allows us to bowl six and retain the best five scores each game. Everyone contributed today. In the six games bowled, four different bowlers posted a high score so that just shows a strong team effort. This group practices hard and are a very close knit group, such a pleasure to coach", commented Head Coach Tom Rathbun.
