JOHNSTOWN – FM’s annual youth soccer camp will be held August 11-15. The camp is for teens and pre-teens. Campers can participate in this popular camp in half-day (9:00-Noon) or full-day (9:00-3:00) sessions.
The camp’s instruction will include small-group work with attention to individual needs, demonstration, games, and scrimmaging. The camp is organized for maximum skill development and fun for all ages.
Again this year the Camp Director will be Donn Truax, FM’s Head Men’s Soccer Coach. Truax’ staff will include current and former members of FM’s men’s and women’s soccer teams and other experienced soccer personnel.
Tuition for the half-day session is $125 per camper and $175 for the full-day session per camper. Tuition includes a camp gym sack, a camp soccer ball, and a personal, written evaluation for each camper.
The registration period is now open. Parents or guardians can print the camp brochure and mail in its registration form. We’ve got a great week of camp planned this year just for you. No matter what your level or ability, we want you to come join myself and familiar players as well as a few new faces from the FM team. Whether you’re coming half day or full day, it’s sure to be a blast. Not only will we have fun soccer games, competitions and challenges; we will also have exciting theme days: (Tuesday will be “bed head” day, WaCkY WeDnEsDaY will be crazy and goofy dress up, Thursday will be silly sock day, and Friday will be wear your favorite soccer team jersey day). Prizes and awards will be given! We hope you’ll come join the Raider Nation at soccer camp this summer. We’ll be looking for you!
