JOHNSTOWN – The annual FM youth soccer camp will be held August 10-14. The camp has been well received in past years, and it looks to be even better this summer.
The FM summer soccer camp is for teens and pre-teens. Campers can participate in this popular camp in half-day (9:00-Noon) or full-day (9:00-3:00) sessions.
Instruction will include small-group work with attention to individual needs, demonstration, games, and scrimmaging. The camp is organized for maximum fun and skill development for all ages.
FM’s new men’s soccer Head Coach, Cory Leggiero, will be the Camp Director. His staff will include current and former members of FM’s men’s and women’s soccer teams and other experienced soccer personnel.
Tuition for the half-day session is $125 per camper and $175 for the full-day session per camper. In addition to the instruction and game experience, each camper will receive a gym sack, a camp soccer ball, and a personal, written evaluation for each camper.
The registration period is now open. Parents or guardians can print the camp brochure and mail in its registration form. Coach Cory Leggiero brings considerable experience and a great passion for soccer to the FM athletics program. He was a four-year starter at Cazenovia College. He also has coached in the Amsterdam and Schenectady high school programs, and he also serves as a premier and academy coach with FC Dutchmen.
