Perez took on the role as keeper for the Raiders and didn't start until the third game of the season. He was solid in the net with 79 saves overall. He was ranked 2nd in saves with 43 in conference play. "I am proud of Joe, he stepped up huge for this years team. Many times this season we asked Joe to make a major save for us this year. A lot of times we focus on people who score goals, I am so proud of Joe and I'm glad he is recognized for his hard work," said Leggiero.
Cory Leggiero was named Conference Coach of the Year for the vast improvement to the program in just two years of coaching. In his first season as head coach, FM went 1-13 overall. In just one off season of recruitment, he led the Raiders to a 6-7-1 overall record and a 3-3 conference record. His dedication to the program has truly shown this season and FM looks forward to the future of men's soccer.
