Sannon drilled a 40 yard hit off of a restart to go up 1-0. The Hawks answered when they converted on a penalty kick. Sannon started the attack on his second shot on goal that rebounded off of the MV goalie and VanLoan finished it to go up 2-1 and end the first half.
In the second half, there was not much offense for the Hawks as the FM defense was stellar. The Raiders had a few good looks on goal, but were unable to convert. The Raiders were able to hang on for a 2-1 victory.
"It was an extremely hot today and it was very impressive that multiple players were able to play all 90 minutes of the contest. I thought our defense played real well today and I am proud of the way we gutted out another win," said Leggiero.
The Raiders will be off until Wednesday, October 4th when they host North Country at 4:00 p.m.
