The #9 seeded Raiders traveled to Tompkins Cortland on Tuesday for a Region III Quarterfinal match-up.  FM dropped the contest 2-0 and ended their season with a 6-7 overall record.

The Raiders defended well in the 1st half and neither team was able to find the back of the net.  TC3 converted on a shot to go up 1-0 with about 15 minutes left to play.  Bern Sannon had a one on one chance with the Panthers Goalie, but was unable to convert.  Tompkins Cortland sealed the deal with another goal with 13 minutes to play and sealed the victory.

"The best part of soccer is that it isn't fair and every game you have to be your best.  Today, we were not our best.  We defended well for the first 45 minutes and the second half started out much the same, however one mistake on our part and they capitalized.  Even though the loss ends our season, it does not take anything away from what was accomplished this season.  For the first time in 11 seasons, FM finished the regular season at or above .500, finished 4-2 in conference play and 4-1 at home.  With keeping all of this in mind, the boys will keep their heads high," said Leggiero.

The entire roster is responsible for continuing to move the soccer program to a regional contender.  Best of luck to the seniors; Jack Albertin, Aiden VanLoan, Shane Smith, Cameron Monks, Austin Heroth, Matthew Smrtic and Yauza Arauz.
