Men's Soccer Defeats Hudson Valley 4-1

The men's soccer team topped the Hudson Valley Vikings 4-1 on Tuesday.  Ahmed Mourad, Yasser Mourad and Kevin Maldonado all scored for the Raiders.

FM took a quick 1-0 lead off of a restart kick.  Patrick Palmer served it into the box and Ahmed Mourad was able to convert on the score.  Palmer came through with an assist shortly after to Yasser Mourad and FM was up 2-0.

The FM defense had a breakdown and Hudson Valley took advantage and found the back of the net with 11 minutes left in the first half. 

Early in the second half, the Raiders picked up a red card and had to play the rest of the contest a player down, but the Raiders would push through.  Maldonado got past his defender and secured another FM goal with 23 minutes left in the game.  Yasser Mourad put the game out of reach when he scored with a minute left to secure a 4-1 victory.

FM's next contest will be on Saturday, September 8th when they host the Herkimer Generals at 1:00 p.m.  The Raiders will also play on Sunday, September 9th when they travel to Clinton CC to take on the Cougars.
