The men's soccer team got back to their winning ways on Saturday with an impressive 4-0 win over Jamestown Community College.   The Raiders offense was sparked by two goals from Jean Horacius in front of many former FM men's soccer alumni.

In the first half, Ahmed Mourad pushed the ball up the sideline and forced the Jamestown keeper to come out of the net.  Mourad crossed the ball and found an open Horacius for a 1-0 lead with 18 minutes left in the half. Horacius would close out the half finding the back of the net once again for a 2-0 FM lead.

In the second half, Ahmed Mourad scored for the Raiders with 40 minutes left to play.  Horacius tallied an assist to Yasser Mourad with five minutes to play and sealed the victory.

The FM defense was stellar all game and limited any Jamestown offense.

"We urged the group after the alumni event Friday night to stick together through the tough times and I think they did that in a very positive way.  They came out on the front foot today and stayed that way for 90 minutes.  It was nice to play in front of many former players who wore the same jerseys; you could feel the 12 man today.  The boys wanted to celebrate the alumni with a win," said Leggiero.

The Raiders now move back to.500 with a 5-5-1 record.  They have two regular season games remaining that will determine their post season hopes.  FM will travel to SUNY Adirondack on Wednesday, October 10th for a 4:00 p.m. match.
