The #7 seeded Raiders traveled to Herkimer on Thursday for a Region III semi-final match-up.  FM dropped the contest 9-0 and ended their successful 2018 season with a 7-6-1 record.

The Generals jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first half and the Raiders couldn't get any offensive attack going.  In the second half, FM played strong, but Herkimer was too much for the Raiders to handle.

Although the end result was not what Head Coach Cory Leggiero wanted, he is still proud of a successful season.

"The recent success is no accident.  It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing.  This season embodied that.  From August 13th to October 25th, this group put in tremendous effort.  To finish the regular season 7-5-1 is a good result; however we know we let two games slip away.  Finishing second in our conference and earning the 7th seed is a major accomplishment.  Do you know what my favorite part of the game is? The opportunity to play.  Our hard work got us the opportunity to play in the semifinals," said Leggiero.

The entire roster is responsible for continuing to move the soccer program in the right direction and regional contender.  Best of luck to the sophomores; Cameron Biche, Jefferson Jurado, and Michael Friguletto.
