The men's soccer team fell to the Herkimer Generals 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at Wehrum Stadium.  The Raiders found themselves playing on the defensive end most of the game, but FM was able to keep the quick Herkimer offense at bay most of the first half.

Jason Meneses had a busy day in the net for FM and made a stellar save in the 18th minute.  Gaynor Leveridge anchored the defense, but Herkimer finally converted with 7:45 remaining in the first half to take a 1-0 lead heading into the second half.

Jean Horacius had an early attack in the second half, but couldn't convert.  In the 59th minute the Generals got another goal past Meneses. Patrick Palmer ripped a shot from about 20 yards out with 15 minutes remaining but it landed in the Keeper's hands.

The Generals sealed the victory with two back to back goals in the final 10 minutes of the contest.  The Raiders fall to 1-3 overall and will travel to Ulster Community College on Monday, September 16th for their next contest.
