The FMCC Men's soccer team had a commanding 2-0 win on their home field on Sunday afternoon against Brookdale Community College. FM made a major change between their defenders and forwards with 10 minutes left in the first half and it paid off quickly.
Gaynor Leveridge chased down a long pass with a near post cross, and beating out two defenders was Daniel Leach with a diving header just out of the Brookdale keepers reach.
The second half saw some back and forth action from both teams and some point blank saves by keeper Jason Meneses to preserve the shutout. Troy Ellis struck just past the halfway mark of the second half on a laser of a shot on a direct kick.
The Raiders will travel this upcoming weekend on their overnight trip and play Jamestown and Corning.
