Dwight Rose leads Men's Soccer with Hat Trick

The men's soccer team split their weekend road games against Jamestown and Corning.  FMCC lost a double overtime thriller to Jamestown 2-1.  On Sunday, The Raiders defeated Corning 6-2.

Patrick Palmer scored the lone goal for FM in the 23rd minute to tie the score 1-1.  Neither team scored in the rest of regulation, but Jamestown's Axel Richardson scored in the 108th minute to secure the 2-1 win.  Goalkeeper Jason Meneses had 9 saves in the loss.

Against Corning, the Raiders offense came alive, scoring five goals in the first half.  Corning scored in the 9th minute, but the Raiders had an answer.  Dwight Rose led with two goals in the first half and Gaynor Leveridge, Patrick Palmer, and Troy Ellis scored one each.  Rose found the back once again in the second half for a hat trick. The Red Barons got past the FM defense late in the contest, but FM secured the 6-2 win.

The Raiders will host SUNY Adirondack on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
