The FM cross country teams traveled to Herkimer Community College to take part in the Herkimer Invitational on Saturday.  FM competed against Herkimer, along with Hudson Valley.

On the women's side Renee Bellinger finished the 3.1 mile course 6th out of 12 runners with a time of 24:54.  FM's Allison Hanmer finished 9th with a time of 28:04.

On the men's side 16 runners competed in the 4 mile race.  Jonathan Knack came in 6th with a time of 26:06 and Jacob Mosher followed right behind him with a time of 26:12.  Zubair Amiar finished with a time of 38:21. 

FM's Head Coach Jen Hazzard is confident in her team.  "This course was another challenging one, terrain-wise- lots of hills, tight turns through woods, and slanted paths. They have all improved greatly since last week, and ran this course a lot smarter than at the SUNY POLY meet. We will return to this same course on October 22nd for the Mountain Valley Conference race, and I am really looking forward to that and seeing improvement out of each of them." 

FM will travel to Delhi on Wednesday to compete in the Bronco Classic.  Race time is set for 5:00 p.m.
