Brittany Edwards Selected as Head Softball Coach

Brittany Edwards has been selected as FM's new Head Softball Coach.  Coach Edwards is a native of Johnstown and former 2006 graduate of FMCC.  She received her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education at the College of Saint Rose in 2009 and obtained her Master's degree in 2014 from Walden University in administration, management and leadership.

Edwards was a four year varsity player on the softball squad at Johnstown High School and played for the Raiders in 2005 and 2006.  She brings years of coaching experience and knowledge to the FM softball program.  Brittany has been coaching varsity softball since 2008 at both Johnstown and Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville.  She has also coached varsity volleyball at OESJ since 2007.

"Being a coach on the high school level for 10 years now, I am looking forward to going to the next level with college softball to bring my knowledge, dedication, experience, and love for the game to these female athletes," said Edwards.  I am grateful and excited for this opportunity. I am ready to lead this program to be successful, beginning in the offseason and improve every day to compete in the upcoming season with every team we face."

FM's athletic director Kevin Jones is optimistic about adding Edwards to the coaching staff.  "We are excited to bring Brittany on as Head Coach of the Lady Raiders.  She has a lot of experience and is a former FMCC player.  I look forward to helping the new staff bring the program to the next level," said Jones.
