Lady Royals Bow to Lady Raiders

JOHNSTOWN – The Lady Raiders proved to be just too strong for Schenectady CCC's Lady Royals on Wednesday evening. The FM Five led by 10 at the half and won the game 89-63.

Freshman Abby Boyer had a breakout game offensively. The 5' 9" forward scored eight points in just the first 6:19 of play. Boyer scored 17 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in the game.

The visitors stayed with the Raiders in the early going, and the Royals led 21-15 at the midpoint of the first half. Then Stephanie Rice stole the ball and drove for two. Torri Richard stole the ball and fed Rice for two more. Silvia Vasquez Rivera sank a three from the center of the arc, and FM led 22-21 with 8:24 on the clock.

The Lady Raiders never trailed from that point on. They owned a 39-29 lead at the break.
