The North Country Saints traveled to the Raiders Den for a Mountain Valley Conference Contest.  The game turned out to be a battle and the Lady Raiders were able to pull out their fifth win in a row.  FM won by a score of 89-76.

FM's Abby Boyer got things started for the Raiders with a quick two points to start the game.  From there the game quickly became a three point shoot out.  North Country's Simone Roberts sank a three to put her team on the score board and Boyer answered with a three pointer of her own.  With the score tied at 10 Boyer sank another three pointer.  With two minutes left in the quarter Torri Richard sank another three for FM to push the lead to 21-15.  Sabriana Franck and Shantel Acevedo ended the quarter with back to push the lead to ten.  

In the second quarter North Country was able to cut the lead to seven with four minutes remaning in the quarter.  FM would go on a 7-0 run behind Myeesa Grant, Rylie Smith and Boyer and set the score at 43-31.  Both teams traded baskets the rest of the quarter and ended the half with the Raiders leading 51-39. 

Simone Roberts came out for the Saints and converted on a four point play to cut the deficit to eight. FM would dominate the next seven minutes pushing the lead to 64-48 with three minutes remaining in the quarter.  Shantel Acevedo sank another three to go up 15 and North Country answered with a three of their own to set the score at 69-54 at the end of the 3rd quarter.  

In the final quarter North Country gave FM a scare.  The Saints cut the lead to just three points behind Simone Roberts sharp shooter from beyond the arc.  In the final three minutes Kevin Jones' team settled in and outscored North Country 16-5 to go on to win 89-76.  

The Raiders now improve to 9-1 overall.  Their next contest is on the road at Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday, November 12th.  Game time is set for 1 p.m.
