Lady Raiders Top Red Hawks and Timberwolves

The Lady Raiders hosted the LaGuardia Red Hawks in a non-conference match-up.  FM dominated the contest and went on to win 87-57.

LaGuardia took an early lead to start the game, but Kaina Martinez put FM ahead for good 12-10, off of a Moet Jenkins pass.  The Raiders closed out the 1st quarter on a 13-0 run and led 26-10.  FM held LaGuardia to just nine points in the 2nd quarter.  Shantel Acevedo sank a jumper to close out the half with FM leading 42-19.  

Moet Jenkins continued to facilitate the FM offense in the second half.  Julie Hampton scored 5 straight points to extend the lead 69-27.  In the 4th quarter LaGuardia went on a 9-0 run, but it wasn't enough as the Raiders went on to win 87-57.

FM had eleven players make the scoring column.  My'eesa Grant scored 16 points for FM, along with 13 rebounds.  Moet Jenkins followed with 15 points, 8 assists, and 7 steals for the Lady Raiders.

On Sunday afternoon, the Lady Raiders traveled to Adirondack to take on the Timberwolves.  FM won the contest 77-45.  

The Raiders jumped out to a 39-24 halftime lead and never backed down.  Rylie Smith led the Raiders with 27 points, including four three pointers.  Amirah Greene followed with 18 points.  

FM will be off until February 8th when they host Herkimer CC at 5:00 p.m.
