Lady Raiders Suffer Tough Season Ending Loss in Regional Quarterfinals

The Women's Basketball Team's post season run came to an end as they suffered a well fought battle against Corning Community College in the Region III Quarterfinal.  The Lady Raiders battled adversity and foul trouble all game long, but came up short 60-47.

Corning got out to a 17-12 1st quarter lead and never looked back.  FM was able to outscore the Red Barons in the 2nd quarter to end the half trailing 30-26.  Rylie Smith led the Raiders with 9 first half points.

In the 2nd half Corning outscored FM in both quarters.  The Lady Raiders could not get much going on the offensive end and were limited to one shot.  Corning managed the clock down the stretch and pulled out the win.

Smith led the Raiders with 22 points and My'eesa Grant followed with 11. FM finishes its 2016-17 campaign with a 18-7 overall record.
