The women's basketball team traveled to take on the 1st place Mohawk Valley Hawks on Saturday. The Lady Raiders were able to give the Hawks a scare, backed behind 38 points from Diasia Deboue.
MV led the Raiders 19-15 after the first quarter, but the Raiders outscored the Hawks 17-12 in the second quarter to take a 32-31 halftime lead.
The Hawks had a big third quarter to pull away 63-53. FM battled in the final quarter, but MV pulled away for an 84-68 win.
Julie Hampton finished with 12 points. Shelby Dopp and McKiea Weekes followed with 8 points each.
Alzae Davis and Zorria West each led with 19 points for the Hawks.
FM will host the Herkimer Generals on Monday at 5:00 p.m.
