FMCC is excited to announce the addition of Voertje Prather to the women's basketball program for the 2018-19 season. Prather is a senior at Watkinson School in Hartford, Connecticut and signed her letter of intent on Friday. She will play a major role on the Lady Raiders squad in the fall.
The senior standout is a 6'0" center and will have an immediate impact in the post. She averaged 12 points and 8 rebounds in her senior season. She was named All Brass Player for basketball and also an All Star on the volleyball team. Voertje plans to attend FM in the fall as a Fine Arts major.
Head Coach Kevin Jones is looking forward to the upcoming season and the addition of Prather. "Voertje is a huge piece for us for the fall. I am excited to see her development as a player. She is a skilled forward who can play facing or with her back to the basket," said Jones.
