The women's basketball team is gearing up for another exciting season, as they bring back some top returners and a new recruiting class that will make an immediate impact.  The Lady Raiders are coming off a 13-11 season last year and have high hopes for the 2018-19 campaign.

FM will look to returners McKiea Weekes and DiAsia DeBoue to have another standout season. DeBoue averaged 22 points per game last season and will run the offense again this year.  Weekes averaged 13 points per game and is a presence in the paint where she averaged 16 rebounds a game in 2018.

The Lady Raiders bring many new faces to the roster this season.  Local talents Camryn Meca and Gabby Brown contribute at the guard position.   Niaimani Marshall, Summayah Glover, and Niasia Phillips will all play a major role as guards as well.

Barbara-Inez McKinney and Destiny Prather are both six footers who look to have an immediate impact around the basket.

Head Coach Kevin Jones has been busy preparing his team for the start of the season.  "Practices have been going well, we are trying to develop chemistry with the returning players and new players.  This season we will be focusing on running the floor and our inside game.  We have a good mix of new players and returners who have the experience and we hope to contend for the conference and win a regional title."

The Lady Raiders will begin their season on Saturday, November 3rd when they travel to Onondaga for the Hoops Classic.  FM will play Rowan College on Saturday and Hostos on Sunday.  The Lady Raiders home opener will be on November 17th when they host Adirondack at 1:00 p.m.
